Grynch Wins Big, 206 Stand Up.

Seattle emcee Grynch was just yesterday selected as one of the two winners in the 2dopeboyz Illa J Remix contest! Contestants sent in verses they recorded on two instrumentals from Illa J's recent album, The Yancey Boys. Grynch’s storytelling over “Showtime” was selected as one of the top two tracks submitted, along with an emcee named Illecism’s treatment of “R U Listenin’.”

The tracks will be released as digital singles by Delicious Vinyl. Grynch’s next task is picking three songs to send to Illa J, who will then pick one over which to record 16 bars that he can use in any way he wants. Congrats! (The singles will be available on 2dopeboyz sometime on Thursday.)
