Attention Producers: Bekay - I Am Remix Contest

Here is yet another opportunity for you aspiring producers out there to get your name out and talents heard by many. Peep the info below for your chance to be a part of this exclusive digital remix single which will be featured on Bekay's Hunger Pains Remix EP, out late-December or early-January. Winning producer will also be awarded a watch of choice courtesty of FludWatches.com.

Rules:
Attention producers, please email all submissions to coalminerecords@gmail.com no later then Friday, November 13th. Only one submission per producer will be accepted. The files for the remix contest include an MP3 file of the original version of the song in addition to a WAV file of both the acapella and the sounds effects. Both the acapella and sound effects are zero pointed so they will synchronize properly. It’s not mandatory to use all sound effects, however, it is encouraged that you use the scratch hook, which is on the sound effects file. Music should be in an mp3 format and should default to any iTunes player. Sample-free remixes are allowed, but not required. File should be labeled accordingly with song title first, followed by the producer’s name and Remix in parenthesis, ie: I Am (Joe Smith Remix).mp3. Please include your email address in the comment field of the iTunes info panel. In your email, please provide us with your MySpace URL, your discography to date along with a bio/epk if possible. Please include a few sentences about yourself and your production background. Good luck!

Itinerary:
1.11.03 (Tuesday): Contest begins. NodFactor.com will premier the contest that will be virally promoted through other lifestyles, sites and blogs throughout the week, courtesy of Diamond Music Group. The contest will also be reinforced through an e-blastcampaign.

2.11.13 (Friday): Submission Due Date

3.11.14-15 (Sat/Sun): Winner will be selected through a judging panel consisting of the staff at NodFactor.com, Bekay & Matt Diamond of Coalmine Records.

4.11.16-20 (Mon-Fri): The winning remix will first be announced to all contestants via email. Following the announcement, NodFactor.com will premier the footage of the judging panel. Shortly after, Diamond Music Group will virally promote the vlog footage through all major hip-hop blogs & lifestyles.

Beat Society & DJ K.O.: Ladder of Success Remix Contest

Yep, that's right. Another remix contest for all you aspiring producers out there. This one comes courtesy of Elementality Productions:

As Beat*Society & DJ K.O. get closer to releasing Picture These Remixes, they’ve teamed to give up and coming producers one more chance to get on the project with the "Ladder of Success" Remix Contest. Here’s what DJ K.O. had to say about the song and opportunity...

This track was the first song completed for my album Picture This way back in 2006. The idea for the song came about while sitting at a bar with Analogic (who produced the original track). We were plotting on how to make an entrance into the game. Somehow we got on the topic of ill emcees and started talking about Phonte, Masta Ace & Wordsworth. At that point in time, Tay and Ace had never been on a song before. We thought it would be really dope to hear them all together. Next thing I know I have three ill verses on the struggles of trying to climb the "ladder of success" in the game...but no hook. Picked up the horn and hit up my man K-Hill to see if he could come up with something. Next thing I know I’ve got a hook...PLUS 20 bars from yet another perspective on trying to come up in the game.

So now here is YOUR chance to come up in the game and climb the "Ladder of Success" by remixing the track featuring verses from Phonte, Wordsworth, K-Hill & Masta Ace. The winning submission will be featured on my upcoming album.

Entry Dates and Deadlines:

1. The contest opens at 12:00am Eastern Daylight Time on October 23, 2009 and closes at 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time on November 10, 2009. Entries must be received on or before 11:59pm EST on November 10, 2009.

2. The winner will be announced on elementalityproductions.com on or by November 13, 2009.

Download the acapella and original from the album "DJ K.O. Presents: Picture This" below. Remix your own song and send a 320kbps MP3 (44.1Khz Constant Bit Rate, Normal Stereo) file of your remix along with your name and email address to PictureTheseRemixes@gmail.com.

Prizes:

1. The winning submission will have the opportunity to have their remix placed on the upcoming album PICTURE THESE REMIXES alongside some of the today’s illest emcees & producers.
