Luckyiam's non-stop grind continues into the new year/decade as he prepares the release of his forthcoming album, "I Love Haters". Fresh off his collaboration album (The Prime - One Uppers) with producer/MC Sapient of the Sandpeople, Lucky has decided to let loose of the clever, Kruse-produced joint titled "TV In The Afternoon" which will be featured on the new album. Also in related news, later this year Luckyiam & Sunspot Jonz will be reuniting for a long overdue Mystik Journeymen album.

The crew had been very busy after Almost Famous was released, people started to wonder where the solo albums were. There were so many side projects happening, so much touring going on, and demand was high…but finally after what seemed like an eternity since Gas Dream was released, Eligh was ready and completed this long awaited follow up. He’d honed his producing skills with two Gandalf albums and was making beats for just about everyone else in the crew in the time that had passed. He put a lot of thought, heart and soul into the lyrics to create the Poltergeist, which had become an entity that surfaced in his absence.

Each song in this new collection features every MC on every track, and it's definitely the most fully realized and well-crafted batch since the group's inception. Led by a socially conscious anthem for peace, the LA via San Francisco area crew are doing their civic duty, while not forgetting to move the crowd with heavy bangers, catchy hooks, and fire-spitting verses, celebrating all of their true roots.

It's no secret that Luckyiam's solo work has stood out on its own. While his lyrical contributions have definitely added flavor to the melting pot of his various crews' styles, his solo albums provided a platform to focus on more introspective and personal subject matter. Now, The co-founder of the Living Legends and Mystik Journeymen drops his 3rd installment in the Extra Credit Series, and it is quite possibly one of his strongest albums to date. Most Likely To Succeed acts as a confessional of sorts covering everything from the success he's had with Legends to the hardships and struggles he now faces to hold it all together. From the attention grabbing opener 'Let's Go,' to the candidly up front 'Dynamic Duos,' Lucky has truly let the listener into his world, and continues throughout the span of its 13 tracks to pull the curtain back. With appearances from the likes of Mickey Avalon, Slug, Aesop Rock, and Marty James, it's a star studded affair, without any of that unnecessary overblown hype or pretension.

The Darkside Ov Heaven, is an official full length studio follow up to Never Surrender, which previously ended his Journey to the Sun trilogy. If one thing has always been certain it's that Sunspot has always been very opinionated and outspoken about the Mainstream. Disgusted with it all, here he attempts to show that the mainstream won't ever get it right, and through some storytelling-type tracks Sunspot is at times straight up mocking how ridiculous the superstars really are, while trying to prove that he and his team of friends have what it takes to make music that people want to hear. Who really wants to see that darker side of stardom, lights, glitz and glamor when they've enjoyed this freedom from it all for so long!.

Sunspot Jonz presents Fight-Destroy-Rock in the spirit of UHB! Fight-Destroy-Rock! (aka UHB6) features guest appearances by Luckyiam & Myka9, Equipto, White Mic, & Kwanz (from Bored Stiff), Z-Man, Himself, Moka Only & DWP.
And here's what Sunspot wrote about this project:
"This is that raw underground shit! It's that "straight out the house" mix like old four track songs in the early UHB days. Who knows about "Unsigned and Hella Broke"! Like back in the day when I would be at the outhouse and would mix songs down on my lil TV speakers and then hit the block slanging out the box. That was that real underground shit!! Where you take the bus to some place and ya broke and have to sell ya albums or you had no money to get back home-or even eat lunch. It sucked if it went bad sometimes but Fuck a 9-5! It was all about creating a grind and making that shit pop! That was that really "real", ya know! On this project I used a fucked up microphone, my mpc, the 1680, and my janky ass protools that kept breaking sometimes for months (thats why I had to revert to the 1680) but still I made some great songs through it all. That's true hip hop!! I wanted to bring back that old school underground passion that can't always be recaptured in a big studio but always shows up in a smaller home studio. Like the "Sunnyside Halfway House" in LA , California which always has a host of characters coming through its doors with blunts and bottles in their hands. So strap in and get ready for the ride -- now sometimes the sound is gonna jump up, overdubbs are too low too loud, people making noise walking in with bottles of alcohol whatever -- you never know. That's that raw shit!! KEEP THE UNDERGROUND ALIVE!! SPEAK FROM THE HEART OR DIE!!"
