DJ Murge is Eclipse Record’s foremost DJ and producer. In 1989, DJ Murge lived in Vancouver B.C., where he started listening to the music that would later shape his life. Eventually he naturally became interested in creating the type music he was hearing, and began working on his first beats, and opening his recording studio Search Studios as a joint business venture with one of his close friends. This in turn led to birth of Eclipse Records in June 2001, and his first release the “Search And Rescue” compilation featuring Swollen Members, Moka Only, Buc Fifty, Abstract Rude, L.M.N.O., Son Doobie, that were to go alongside tracks featuring the likes of Living Legends, Hobo Junction, Slug, and Eyedea. Since it’s release in the summer of 2002, the album has received much praise from many corners of the globe, and has sold over 7,000 copies worldwide.
